To the west of the port of Hydra, Spilia (Greek for cave) is a vast area of rocks with concrete platforms arranged in solariums, much appreciated by tourists in summer. It is not exactly a beach but a very practical place to swim (especially if you are moored and do not want to move).
Spilia is a very nice spot with a breathtaking view of the azure blue sea and the port of Hydra. The rocky beach of Hydronetta, below the city’s Canons, is accessible by stairs from Spilia’s bar-restaurant.
After an afternoon of swimming, don’t forget to admire the sunset from the terrace!
